TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION FOR PRIZE PLAY Club magazine

(as at October 2024)

Margarete Steiff GmbH, Richard-Steiff-Straße 4, 89537 Giengen an der Brenz, Germany (hereinafter referred to as the "Organiser" or "STEIFF") operates the STEIFF Club (https://www.steiff.com/de-de/i/club). The following conditions apply to participation in the competition run by Margarete Steiff GmbH as the organiser:

§ 1 COMPETITION, WIN

(1) The competition will be published in the Steiff Club magazine no: MAG02_24, which is also available in the protected Steiff Club online area for members at https://www.steiff.com/en-uk/my-club/club-magazine.

(2) The participation period of the competition begins with the issue of the magazine MAG02_24 or with the publication of the digital Club magazine on the above link, which ends on 04 November 2024 from 11:00 am and on 31 January 2025 at 11:59 pm.

(3) The following prizes will be raffled off among all participants:

1st place: Steiff Club event Teddy bear worth €139

2nd place: Ivo Igel worth €69.90

3rd place: Mini Teddy bear worth €59.90

(4) This is a prize draw that will be carried out at random. The winner will be drawn by STEIFF at .

§ 2 ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE

(1) All natural persons over the age of 18 who are members of the Steiff Club (https://www.steiff.com/en-uk/i/club) and have their residence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are eligible to participate .

(2) Minors under the age of 18 are expressly excluded from participation. No prizes will be distributed to minors.

(3) The participant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided for participation in the competition, in particular for the accuracy of his/her address at the Steiff Club.

(4) Each participant may enter the competition once per membership number . Participants who have several numbers can enter once per number. In the event of multiple entries, only one prize will be distributed per participant.

§ 3 EXCLUSION FROM THE COMPETITION

(1) All persons who are not members of the Steiff Club are excluded.

(2) Employees of the STEIFF Group (STEIFF Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, Margarete Steiff GmbH, STEIFF Retail GmbH, and AIGO-TEC GmbH), their affiliated companies and the implementing agencies and their relatives are also excluded from participation.

(3) In the event of a breach of these conditions of participation, STEIFF reserves the right to exclude persons from the competition and not to pay out the prize or to subsequently recognise and reclaim it.

(4) Persons who use unauthorised aids or gain advantages by manipulating the prize system are also excluded. In such cases, the prize may also be subsequently cancelled and reclaimed. Technical manipulation includes, but is not limited to, participation via a competition service or comparable automated collective participation services.

(5) Anyone who provides false personal information is also excluded.

§ 4 REALISATION AND PROCESSING OF THE COMPETITION

(1) Participation in the competition is only possible during the specified participation period (§ 1).

(2) To take part in the competition, the following three questions must be answered and the answer sent by e-mail to redaktion@steiff-club.com. The questions are as follows:

  1. When was the first Margarete Steiff Edition published?

(Hint: only the year)

  1. What is the name of the figure that visited us in the Steiff Museum on 9 July 2024?

(Tip: The new news page helps here)

  1. In which city is the exhibition on the history of the Teddy bear "Mon ours en peluche" being held?

(Hint: Only four (4) letters)

All the answers can be found in the Club magazine. Our little tips will help you answer the questions.

(3) To enter the competition, all three (3) questions must be answered correctly.

(4) The answers must be sent by e-mail to redaktion@steiff-club.com. The following information must be included in the e-mail:

  • Subject: "Competition"
  • Indication of all answers in chronological order
  • Steiff Club membership number

The date of sending the answers by e-mail is the date of participation.

The participant must participate by the end of the applicable closing date, i.e. by 31 January 2025 at 11:59 pm at the latest. (6) Late entries will not be considered, regardless of the reason for the delay.

(7) By participating in this competition, participants confirm that they accept these terms and conditions.

(8) By participating in the competition, participants also expressly confirm that they consent to the storage and use of their data by STEIFF in accordance with our data protection guidelines.

§ 5 DETERMINATION OF PROFIT; PROFIT

(1) The winner will be drawn by lot on 17 February 2025.

(2) The winner will be notified by STEIFF by e-mail on 18 February 2025. The winner will be contacted/notified by e-mail.

The winner's personal data transmitted will only be used to identify the winner.

(3) STEIFF reserves the right to hand over the prize to the winner only against proof of age. The prize will be sent to the postal address provided by the club member.

(4) Cash payment of the prize is not possible under any circumstances. The claim to the prize or prize replacement cannot be assigned and will only be made to the winner personally.

(5) Complaints relating to the organisation of the competition should be sent in writing to Margarete Steiff GmbH, Richard-Steiff-Straße 4, 89537 Giengen an der Brenz, Germany, stating the name of the competition, or sent by e-mail to info@steiff.de.

§ 6 EARLY TERMINATION, EXCLUSION

(1) STEIFF reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. STEIFF will make use of this option in particular if the proper organisation of the competition cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons.

(2) Such premature termination of the competition shall not give rise to any claims on the part of the participants.

§ 7 DATA PROTECTION

Data agreement in connection with this competition

(1) STEIFF collects, stores and processes the necessary personal data provided by the participant.

(2) The participant declares his/her consent to this. This may involve the following data in particular:

- First names and surnames

- Address: - Address

- Email address

-Date of birth

-Telephone number

- Club membership number

This data will be used by exclusively for the purpose of organising the competition , i.e. to determine and contact the winner and to identify the winner.

(3) There is no entitlement to register for the competition or to participate in the competition.

(4) All personal data of participants will be processed and used by STEIFF in accordance with the statutory provisions. Further information can be found in the privacy policy. After the competition has ended and been fully processed, all data provided will be deleted, unless STEIFF is legally obliged to store the data beyond this point.

(5) Participants are free to object to the storage, processing and use of their data at any time by e-mail to info@steiff.de or in writing to Margarete Steiff GmbH, RIchard-Steiff-Str.4, 89537, Giengen an der Brenz, and thus withdraw from participation at the same time. (6) The legal basis for the processing of participant data is generally Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. The legitimate interest of the organiser arises from the interest in being able to carry out the competition. The legal basis for the processing of the winner data is Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR. In the event of a declaration of consent going beyond this, Art. 6 I lit. a GDPR is the legal basis.

You have the right of access to the personal data concerned and the right to rectification of inaccurate data or erasure if one of the reasons specified in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued. You also have the right to restriction of processing if one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 GDPR applies and, in the cases specified in Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of the data in question violates data protection regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Baden-Württemberg State Commissioner for Data Protection.

The provision of your personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, it is required for participation in the competition. Failure to provide it may result in non-participation in the competition.

§ 8 LIABILITY

(1) The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided, in particular the dispatch address.

(2) STEIFF shall be released from all obligations upon fulfilment of the prize, unless an earlier point in time results from these provisions.

(3) STEIFF accepts no liability for technical failures that lead to the unavailability of the registration, data loss, in particular in the course of data transmission, and other technical defects beyond the control of STEIFF , except in cases of gross negligence or wilful intent.

(4) STEIFF is not liable if - for whatever reason - the prize cannot be delivered to the winner at the address provided in the Steiff Club.

§ 9 MISCELLANEOUS

(1) STEIFF reserves the right to change these conditions of participation at any time.

(2) German law shall apply exclusively.

(3) STEIFF does not participate in dispute resolution proceedings of a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act and is not obliged to do so.
