Elsie Kühn-Leitz (1903-1985) was a remarkable woman who achieved a doctorate and A-levels at a time when few women had access to such education. She courageously resisted the Nazi regime, aiding those in need whenever she could. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Leica camera, the special edition “Elise” Teddy bear has been introduced. Made of light brown mohair, this bear is dressed in a white cotton blouse with buttons, a red neck bow, and a black wool skirt featuring a red felt patch embroidered with the iconic white Leica logo. Her outfit is completed by a chic hat, and a miniature Leica camera on a brown cord hangs proudly around her neck.
